Cam Gear

Part Details:
This part belongs to the engine of Suzuki 125 Bike. It has 43 helical gears attached with a Cam. The Gear is attached as a cam operating mechanism. This part also contains a hub for the shaft.

Design Steps:
Design In Synchronous:
1. First of all I draw a circle of Diameter 75mm. Then it is protrudes to the width of 10mm. 2. Then I created the internal ring of diameter 35mm and extrude it to the width of 1 mm. 3. Next is the internal hole of 18mm. 4. Then I created the hub of the shaft(not included) and protrudes it. 5. I then applied a circle cutout of value 6.85 and used circular pattern to create 8 holes of equal dia. 6. Then I draw the semi-circle of dia and then I drew the tangent lines, the resulting sketch are shown separately. 7. It is then extruded to the value of 16.5mm as cam width. 8. Then I applied a round of 4mm to make a cam profile. 9. Then the locking clip is designed by sketching the first half and then mirroring it. 10. I then reduced the disc thickness to 3mm.

Design In Ordered Environment:

11. Created the inner groove by drawing the rectangular geometry and then using the Revolved Cut command. 12. Then I inserted holes in the clip of diameter 0.84 mm and depth 0.94 mm. 13. Then I drew the Gear sketch. 14. Then I draw a tangent plane, and draw a line of angle 30 degree to give a helical path. 15. Then I applied Sweep Command to sweep my sketch to the desired line of angle 30 degree.
