Shared Reading
This week we read books that helped us to focus on blends with the letter r. Some of the books we read were Valentines Day Grump, The Greedy Gray Octupus, The Crazy Critters Cooking Convention, Friends, Friends, Drip Drop, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear. We made a chart of words that begins with gr, cr, fr, dr, and br this week. On our Smart Board we played a game called Word Study Sorts which focused on blends. We also played Valentine Sight Word Bingo this week.

General Information Parents, many hands are needed for a successful book fair and we are still in need of volunteers! The book fair will take place on Monday February 27th through Monday, March 5th. Theme
Our post office opened this week. It is called the Australian Post. We have been busy writing letters to our friends, family, and teachers. Our mail carrier passes out the mail at the end of each day. We also began making our bank. It looks fantastic. We will begin earning money next week. We will use this money to shop with at our Australian Market in April.
