Before filming our production we sent out a questionnaire on SurveyMonkey to find what our target audience liked about

horror films. We then focused on the feedback to help us decide on what we were going to add into our production. How old are you?

This graph shows that 100% of the people who answered our questionnaire were aged between 16-18. This helped us decide that our target audience was going to be older teenagers.

Are you male or female? This graph shows that 72% of the people who answered our questionnaire were female. Because of this we concentrated slightly more on what the female audience liked in horror films.

What genre of horror films do you watch the most?

Demonic Psychological Armageddon Slasher

This graph shows that 71% of the people asked liked psychological films most, 14% liked Armageddon and the last 14% said slasher. We decided to base our film around psychological as our target audience said they preferred this.

How often do you watch horror films?

From the graph it shows that 14% of people never watch horror films, 72% of people watch them once a month and the last 14% watch them once a week. A majority of them watch them fairly regularly, which gives the impression that they would watch ours.

How do you like the storyline to be? ( this question was allowed more then one answer) From this graph it shows that 42% of the people asked liked post modern/complex storylines, 85% like surprising and 42% said mind challenging. We focused on these results very carefully when we were deciding the plot for our production.

From this graph it shows that 85% of the people asked liked to be surprised who the villain was at the end, and 15% said that they didnt mind. We also focused on these statistics when deciding how our production was going to end. What setting frightens you most?

From the graph it shows that 72% of people said that an abandoned house frightens them the most, 14% said a dark forest and the last 14% said school. As the location is key to a horror film we made sure that we followed our market search on this question to make sure our target audience would enjoy our production.
