Analysis of psychographic and demographic survey

We discovered that over half of our audience are male (57.89%). This means that we will aim
our final film slightly towards the male demographic. The female lead we already planned to
have suits this. The female actor will appeal to the males but will also be relatable to the female
audience.

Almost all of the people we surveyed were students. We did this intentionally because we are
aiming our film towards students and wanted the survey to show the views of our audience.

The most watched genres of film were Action and Comedy, however, 42% of the people who
took our survey had watched a Horror film in the past 6 months. This shows that Horror films are
very popular within our demographic.

This question helped us to determine what scares people the most. The results were 36% of people were most scared of death and gore. This suits our idea because we already intended to include a corpse and some gore. 11% of people said that darkness scares them the most and another 11% said that they were most scared of isolation. These are two elements we will work to
include in our film opening. 21% of people said they were most scared of spiders, we have chosen not to include this in our idea because it doesn't fit in with our sub-genre of slasher/horror
and also, it would be difficult to use them effectively.

The results of this question shows that the location we had already chosen, dark forest, is a good
choice because 44% of the people we surveyed found it the most creepy or disturbing setting.
