Geometry Worksheets

Geometry Worksheets Geometry is the branch of the mathematics that deals with the features and relations of points, lines surfaces, solids and other high dimensional objects. Generally we deal with two types of geometry to solve Geometry Worksheets, they are : plane geometry : - It includes the flat shapes for example lines, triangles and circles and everything that can be drawn on the paper. and generally it deals with the two dimensional objects and shapes. solid geometry : - It include the three dimensional objects and shapes like prisms, pyramids and etc. If wee see the history of geometry then we find that the Greek developed the geometry in a very systematic manner. Three Greek mathematician, namely, Thales ( 600 BC ) Pythagoras ( Thales' Pupil,572 BC ) and Euclid ( 300 BC ) contributed a lot to the development of geometry. Some terms related to geometry : Point : - A point is an exact location. A fine dot ( . ) represents the point and we denote it by the capital letter A,B X,Y etc. Know More About Fractions To Decimals

Line Segment : -The straight path between the two points. A line segment has a definite length. Ray : - When any line segment extended indefinitely in one direction then it becomes the ray. A ray has not definite length. A ray can not be drawn, it can only represented on the plane of a paper. Line : - When any line segment extended indefinitely in both direction then it becomes the line. A line has no end points. A line has not definite length. A line can not be drawn, it can only represented on the plane of a paper. Angles : - When two rays have common endpoints then angle is form. Angle may be right, acute, obtuse, straight, reflex and complete angle. Quadrilaterals : - A plane figure bounded by four line segments. And it can be parallelogram, rectangle, square, rhombus, trapezium, kite. Circle : - A circle is the rounded shape object. for example ball. Basic geometrical concepts are : Axioms : - The basic facts which are taken for granted, without the proof are called the axioms. Example is, Halves of equals are equal. Statements : - A sentence which can be judged to be true or false is called the statements. Example is, the sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degree, is a true statement. Theorems : - A statements that requires a proof, is called the theorem. Establishing the truth of a theorem is known as proving the theorem. Example is, the sum of all angles around a point is 360 degree. Learn More :- Difference Quotient

Corollary : - A statement whose truth can easily be deducted from a theorem, is called the its corollary. Every object and shape have their different properties and we can measure many things for all the shapes and figures like area, volume and many more. We can also construct the Geometry worksheets with the help of the all mentioned terms.
