Resources: Whiteboard marker, whiteboard, short story text. Class Introduction Students comment on the contents of last class. Core of the class Pre-stage Students finish exercises pending from last class. While-stage Students read a short story. Students comment on the story. Students comment on the use of the verb to be in both past and present tense. The teacher writes examples given by the students. Post-stage Students produce orally the examples chosen by the teacher. Students check the activities. Closing Students check the contents of the class by answering direct questions about the present and past tense of the verb to be. Time Comments Level: 8th Grade
