A Message from Division Head, Kelly Yedid:

This past week we found many creative ways to beat the heat and the rain, which is pretty easy to do when you are working with an incredible staff and even more incredible campers! We kicked off the action with a flawless Olympic War. The juniors had a blast in Eaglewood while the seniors made the best of a rained out trip and were rewarded with a trip to the movies one day and bowling the next. The true sign of a great camp is the ability of their campers to have a great time no matter what they do and I'm thrilled to say this special magic is back at Camp Ora once again! Love u all, Kelly

A Message from Division Heads Danny Ash & Evan Bailey:

We ended last week with the craziest Olympic War breakout ever! We could hardly wait till Monday to cheer, play sports, and participate in all the races. The White Team took home the big win but we all felt like winners at the end of the day. Thank you to Heshy, Ikey, and Kelly for planning the best Olympic War to ever be held in Camp Ora. We had ourselves a little adventure on Wednesday going to Camelbeach. The fun never stopped on the buses while we rode the storm back home. On Thursday we all hid from the rain in Hazlet movie theatre and watched The Amazing Spider Man. Cant wait to see you all next week for an amazing time at Camp Ora! Shabbat Shalom, Danny & Evan

A Message from Division Heads, Dina Kraiem & Liba Rosenbaum: What a busy week weve had!!! Sports day was a real hit! The groups competed in swimming, races, water races, wacky races, and sport activities! Check out the chart to see who our winners were! Everyone went home with a medal cuz at Camp Ora were all real winners! Wacky races wasa blast! The kids jumped in potato sacks, raced with hoola hoops, and wrapped each other up in toilet paper! In art we made sport bags and we did spin art!! On Tuesday, our three year olds took a trip to PETSMART!! They loved seeing the fish, cats, birds- and even got to see them giving a dog a haircut! Then we stopped at IGLOO for refreshing ices. On Wednesday we washed our counselors cars. We had buckets of soapy water and jumbo sponges- so much fun! We also loved Dance with Joyce! She taught the girls hip hop routines and others had movement activities with the boys! Basketball with Ikey and Aaron was also awesome! We ended the week with pajama day!! Fun is following the Teddy Bears in Camp Ora! Swimming in this hot weather sure cooled us off. Our great art projects make us feel so big! The best part of our week was our exciting trip day! A Friendly Reminder
A Message from Division Head, Aaron Shasha:
Four weeks of camp are in the books and we ended off with a wild and intense victory by the White Team in Olympic Wars. Both teams battled competitively in various sports such as basketball, football, dodgeball, Frisbee, ultimate, and we even had a home run derby! In the end the White Team finished the two day battle strong with the victory over the red team. Stay tuned next week for more camp and league updates!
