Narration:
Day 1st: 1st All Pakistan Quiz Competition 2014 was oraganized by Hayatian Quiz Society in collaboration with Students Services Centre (SSC) at University of Gujrat, Hafiz Hayat Campus.The theme of the competition was "General Knowledge". The event was started with the National Anthem followed by Recitation and translation of Quran by M. Nouman and Aneeb Shah (Electrical Engineering). Naat was recited by Syed Aneeb Shah. The event opening speech was made by the Patron and Head of Psychology Department Dr. Bushra Akram. Distinguished personality and director of Student affairs, an honorable official from SSC, M. Yaqoob also gave a short introductory speech as the worthy Chief Guest of the mega event. The coordinator of HQS Dr. Shehzad Murtaza, Mr. Kashif another prestige from SSC and Dr. Bushra uplifted the trophy as a gesture of inauguration and opening of the event. Irsa khan & Ahsan Afzal introduced the Event.
The first day of the event comprised of three basic rounds General round Individual round

A-13, Hafiz Hayat Campus, Gujrat Email: hqs@uog.edu.pk Web: www.hqsuog.wordpress.com Category round There were also two audience rounds in between these main rounds in which the audience were entertained with enjoyable games & activities like singing, balloon filling, question answer competition, lottery surprise, loly pop eating competition, Eat the candy from flour competition. The details of which are attached. General Round was hosted by khola asif butt and Jahanzeb. 22 teams qualified to the next round i.e, individual round hosted by Abdur-Rehman and Beesnish Hashmi. 18 Teams then Qualified for the 3rd Round i.e. Category Round Hosted by Sana Mubeen & M.Saad Ijaz.

The second day of the event ,1st All Pakistan Quiz Competition 2014,the inQuizitive 14 started off with 12 teams. The opening host of the second day was Ahsan Usman,Finance Secretary at Hayatian Quiz Society. The event started off with the recitation of Quran by Mh.Nouman followed by Naat said by Faira Amjad The Chief guests ,who lately joined the event were Mrs.Jahan Ara Nizamuddin (wife of V.C) and Dr.Fareesh Ullah Yousaf Zai(Dean of Faculty Of Social Sciences) The other distinguished and vibrant personalities,who joined the event lately or early were: Mh.Yaqoob Director Student Affairs SSC Mr.Kashif Assistan Director SSC Mrs.Mh Yaqoob SSC Mr.Musaddaq Hashmi Director Transport and Security Dr.Bushra Patron of HQS and HOD Pshycology Dptt Dr.Shehzad Murtaza Co-ordinator HQS Ms.Aniqa and Ms.Anila(SSC) Dr.Khizar Hayat HOD Botany Dptt. Dr.Mh.Nawaz Assistant Professor Statistics Dr.Faheem Malik Director of Faculty Of Sciences. Dr.Sajjad from Mansehra University Mr.Ali Fahad Gillani Ex-President of HQS Mr Syed Zeshan Ex-member of HQS The JUDGES of second day event were: Dr.Mh Zubair phD and Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dptt in UOG and Dr.Mh Naveed Zafar PhD from Chemistry Dptt in UOG Before the event further proceeded,our beloved National song was played in the hall, in dignity of whose, all the attendees of the event stood straight to pledge. st The event succeeded with 1 Round (KASOUTI ROUND),hosted by Ishrat Fatima and Sidra Bajwa,in which the following 12 teams participated: Team D Team Y Team G Team R Team V Team H Team M Team I Team S Team T Team L Team E st nd At the end of 1 round, following teams directly qualified for 2 round: Team G (10) score Team R (10) score Team I (10) score Team L (10) score st Teams D,Y,H,E,M,S,V and T competed for 1 tie breaker round. st After 1 Round, an eye opening,thought provoking Patriotic Punjabi Poem in commendable Punjabi accent was narrated by Khaula Asif And Usman(officials of HQS) st nd After 1 Tie Breaker round,conducted by Omer Sharif and Ahmed Sheikh,Team H and Team qualified for 2 round and the nd folowing remaining teams competed for 2 tie breaker round Team D Team Y Team M Team S Team T Team V For the Sack of entertainment,events first audience round was conducted by Asfund Yar and Farwa in which funny Punjabi poetry was presented by Usman(HQS) and other entertaining competitions like Situps,Biscuit Eating and Maximum coin collection were observed among the audience. nd nd After 2 Tie Breaker Round, Team T and Team V qualified for 2 Round with 10 score each. nd By the end of this Tie-Breaker session,following 8 Teams qualified for 2 Round; Team G,Team R, Team I,Team L,Team H,Team E,Team V and Team T nd The 2 round(SURPRISE ROUND),hosted by Irsa and Fawad carried alot of interesting surprises for the participant teams.This round had four sessions of different categories for testing the teams.the four categories were: 1.Exchange the category of question between two rival teams. 2.Rival teams chose category of question for their opponent team. 3.Flying Fate

4.Tag Kismat. nd rd By the end of 2 Round,4 teams qualified to play the 3 and Final Round. The qualifying teams were: Team L (30 score) ,Team I(20 score) Team R(50) Team T(20) nd After 2 round,al the teams and Judges were taken for refreshment by HQS.and the audience were entertained by Asfund nd Yar,Hussnain and Awais Munir by conducting different fun activities between Boys and Girls in 2 Audience Round. The title of Mr.White was given by Awais Munir(Gen.Sec HQS) to Ahsan Usman(Finance Secretary in Audience Round. rd The 3 and Final round of the mega event(AUDIO/VISUAL) was conducted by Sidra Bajwa And Khaula Asif. At the end of this Round.the results were: st 1 position=Team L (GCU,Lahore) with 30 score nd 2 position=Team T (UET,Lahore) with 20 Score rd 3 position=Team R (GCU,Faisalabad) with 10 score Co-ordinator HQS,Dr.Shehzad announced the final results and gave a short prestigious speech on the closing of successful event. Chief Guest,Dr.Fareesh Ullah Yousaf Zai also gave a speech of appreciation and motivation.He also gave away a cash prize to a student from KPK on answering his 5 questions related to province KPK. In the prize distribution session,Mrs Jahan Ara Nizamuddin and Mh.Yaqoob awarded shields to HQS Higher Hierarchy Members that are: Mr.Uzair President HQS Mh.Ismail Vice President HQS Iqra Khawar Vice President HQS(Female) Awais Munir General Secretary(Male) Iqra Khawar General Secretary(Female) rd The 3 Position holder,Team R (GCU Faisalabad) was awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000,Shield and Certificate by Mrs.Jahan Ara.Nizamuddin nd The 2 Position holder,Team T(UET Lahore) was awarded a cash prize of Rs.12,000 and Certificate by Dr.Fareesh Ullah Yousaf Zai. st The 1 Position holder,Team L(GCU Lahore) was awarded a cash prize of Rs.15,000, Shield and the Winning Trophy. The VC Shield was presented to Mrs.Jahan Ara Nizamuddin by Dr.Shehzad Murtaza. Shielda were presented to the jury members Dr.Mh.Zubair and Dr.Mh.Naveed Zafar by Dr.Shehzad Murtaza. The President of HQS,Mh.Uzair gave away shield to Co ordinator Dr.Shehzad Murtaza(HQS) and also to General Secretary(male)HQS. The closing ceremony was hosted by Ahsan Usman(HQS).
