Teaching Resources (students workload is individually determined by a PT
Supervisor).
PT ORGANIZATION

assessment of learners (level, personal peculiarities, strength of the class, abilities and
lessons, keeps an eye on the discipline and, if its necessary, helps to solve difficult
and embarrassing situations.
When a student-teacher plan a lesson, he/she should choose lesson title, define
its timeliness and originality, goals and objectives, write a summary, put the main
questions and points, full text, train reading it paying attention to taken time. At the
lesson you shouldnt just read without having an eye contact with students. Some
passages should be pronounced without looking at notes, but with emphasizing some
ideas. You should try to communicate with students, ask questions, and ask to express
their own point of view. You should avoid explanations without reflection. Only
definitions, names, dates and titles could be written to dictation.
During a lesson students shouldnt just retell the material, but also interpret it
and express their own point of view on the problem under discussion. Moreover its
important to ask additional questions.
At the end of the lesson conclusions and summary should be made, attention
should be paid to main idea of the topic. A student-teacher should analyze students
answers and their activity at the lesson, and put marks. PT Supervisor could help a
student-teacher at the end.
A student-teacher should hand in a Lesson plan to PT Supervisor before or after
a lesson. The plan should include lesson title, type of lesson (lecture or seminar),
goals and objectives, introduction, main part and ending, references.
Introduction includes the title, problems under discussion, type of lesson.
In the main part a student-teacher presents the outline of the lesson paying
attention to topics and time to discuss each of them.
At the end a student-teacher makes conclusion including summary of students
answers, their activity at the lesson, and putting marks. If the plan is of lecture, at the
end the topics for discussion at the seminar should be given.
At the end of PT a student-teacher should present final report to PT Coordinator.
Deadline of reporting is determined by the programme curriculum. PT Results
Reporting includes observation notes, Summaries of given lessons, Literature review
