DESCRIPTION OF EVENT

Teachers Day Celebration in My School

Teachers Day is a special day in our school. It is not only celebrated

in our school but all the schools in Malaysia. All the students will thank our
teachers for all that they have done for us on Teachers Day.

There are no classes on that day because it is a day for the teachers
to rest. We usually have an assembly in the morning. The principal will
give her speech and thanks the teachers for their dedication to the school
and students. Then, the head prefect also presents his speech to thank
the principal and all the teachers.

During the assembly, every teacher is called to come up on the

stage and the class monitor will present their class teacher with flowers.
This is to show our love and respect to the teachers. Some teachers give
their students a hug after receiving the flowers. Usually all the student are
excited to see the teachers receive the flowers.

After the assembly, everyone will go to the school field to either join
or watch the telematches between the teachers and the students. There
are many kinds of games that are organised by the school prefects such
as musical chair, passing the ball and football.

Then, students usually will organise class parties for the teachers
after the telematches. We usually have sandwiches, fried noodles, fried
chicken, jelly, fresh fruits and drink. Some students also present their
class teachers with gifts such as pens, scarves and notebooks during the
party.

We really enjoy ourselves during Teachers Day celebration in my

school every year. Although Teachers Day is only celebrated once a year,
we should show our respect to our teachers every day of the year.
