Island of Blue Dolphins
The big unit test will be NEXT TUESDAY. We have finished reading the book, and now it is time to study! Please look for the study guide that went home today. Also, the Test Support for the Island of the Blue Dolphins test has been activated on our website. We will spend time together in class choosing the 7 main plot events (rising action, climax, and the resolution). We will also focus on main characters, setting, main conflict and resolution. Also, we will prepare to write some short essay answers. Finally, the students will be required to write about a theme for the book. Please check out the example on the website. A lot of class support will be provided for each section of the test. Each night the students will be given a specific way to study for the test. They will bring the required evidence that they studied to school each day. Along with this evidence, all students must get a parent signature Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night to verify that s/he studied for the test.
