Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:
This artifact is a picture of my google classroom page, and a picture of a student in my
class using google classroom on his Chromebook. These pictures show how I am using
the resources available to me in my classroom instruction. In my classroom, we use
google classroom weekly. Students use it to write journals, complete assignments, and
take tests/quizzes. I use it to grade work, and leave meaningful feedback to my
students. This resource was set up for teachers by our district technology coach and I
am working to use it to its full capabilities in my classroom.
Reflection on the artifact:
I really like the way that google classroom has worked for my students so far this year. I
feel like it is very motivating for them because they love to work with technology. It also
works for me, as the classroom teacher, well because I am able to give meaningful
feedback on the assignments they complete. Using google forms for tests and quizzes
when I teach science class has went well because I teach 3 sections of science (75
students) and google grades the quizzes/tests for me. I then am able to go through and
see which questions students missed and where the frequent misconceptions were so
that I can better my instruction for my students and what their needs are.
