Corn and Cheese Bread Cases

Bread cases are a quick healthy way to make a homemade pie without
the high fat content of pastry.
What you need
1 tablespoon melted butter pata
24 slices sandwich-cut bread (brown or white)
410g can creamed corn
1 cup grated cheese tihi
1 egg heki
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
A little extra grated cheese tihi to sprinkle on top
What to do
1. Turn on oven to 190C
2. Cut the crust off the bread
3. Brush bread with the melted butter and press into muffin tins.
4. Bake for 5 minutes.
5. Mix grated cheese, corn egg and parsley
6. Mix well
7. Fill cases with corn mixture and sprinkle with a little cheese
8. Bake for 12 minutes until golden.

Ideas
These can be made using whatever is in the fridge or in plentiful supply.

Try using wraps or filo pastry to create a case.


Save waste dry crusts in oven and chop in food processer to create dried
breadcrumbs or simply chopped crusts and placed in the bread case
before the filling is added.
