Mission Based Learning Form 4 2016

A very good afternoon to the teachers and students. Welcome to our 2nd Mission Based
Learning Presentation of 2016! On this eventful day, I, Najwa Nurfatihah and I, Yasshootha, will
be your emcees for this afternoon.

Mission Based Learning (MBL) is a yearly activity conducted in every form in Cempaka School.
It is an alternative instructional approach that is characterized by hands-on learning that
engages students and presents them with opportunities to connect their learning with the world
around them. The purpose of MBL is to fulfill a specific mission set by the teachers within a
period of time as an educational experience and to contribute to the hands-on learning process.
The theme of the MBL can be either related to Modern Science, Engineering, Charity work or
even performing arts. Earlier this year, we had our MBL on the functions of brain and
neurotransmission.

Text 2: Yasshootha
For our second MBL, we were given a task to use our talents as a performing arts student of
Cempaka to create happiness for the following type of audience - from an Old Folks Home and
a Special Kids Home. All 11 groups were required to come up with a performance to entertain
their respective audience yesterday. Today, we have to present a video of the performance with
a short slides presentation.
1. The required themes are either Love, Happiness, Unity, Peace, Beauty,
Intelligence, and Friendship
2. Objectives
3. Genre which can either be Drama, Tearjerker, Comedy or Thriller
4. Reasons for choosing the genre
5. Role of each member
6. Process of Production from Day 1 to Day 3
7. Conclusion and Lessons learned

The judges for todays presentation are

The presentations will be judged based on the following criteria:

1. Content
2. Research
3. Oral Presentation
4. Body Language
Before we start off the presentation, we would like to remind you that each group will have 6
minutes to present. The first bell will be rung once at 5th minute. The last bell and the indication
to STOP, will be rung at the 6th minute.
(ask the timekeeper to ring the bell once you announce this)
