Sweet jar is a No-Bake cheesecake snack packed in jars. This comes in


blueberry flavor on graham cracker crumbs.

Objective

Sweet Jar Business seeks to produce No-Bake blueberry jar cheesecakes


and since blueberry cheesecakes are rich source of several vitamins and
phytonutrients, Sweet Jar also seeks to deliver significant health benefits to its
consumers.

Vision
This Business plan envisions to producing an innovative dessert to its
consumers at a reasonable price and nurture the entrepreneurial skills and
competencies of the youth.

Description of the Product

Sweet Jar is a No-Bake cheesecake. A cheesecake is a sweet dish consisting


of one or more layers. This product consists of ingredients -- cream cheese, sugar,
eggs, sour cream and vanilla-- that are mixed and placed on a graham cracker crust.
This is topped with blueberry extract which is rich in vitamin K, vitamin C and fiber.
The product is then packed in jars with the products label.

Comparison of the Product to its Competitor

The main competitors of this business are the existing vendors who sell food
items in the barangay and the street food vendors who come in contact with the
people outside the barangay. An advantage of this business from its competitors is
the creative and innovative packaging of the product and since this no-bake
cheesecakes are placed in jars, consumers are not just able to carry around this
dessert but the consumers are also ensured that sanitary issues are well attended to.

Location

The Sweet Jar Business shall be located at the owners residence at P-8
Relocation, Doongan, Butuan City, Caraga, Philippines.

Market Area

The product, Sweet Jar, shall be sold in the owners barangay but it will also
be sold to people from different barangays who would like buy this no-bake
cheesecake in a jar.

Main Costumer
The target markets of this business venture are teenagers, adults and people
who are fond of desserts and sweet treats.

Each Sweet Jar shall be sold for Php 45.00 each.

Marketing Tools and Strategies

In order to promote the product and widen the reach of consumers, the
owner of this business venture shall produce fliers containing brief description of
the product and the contact information to which possible buyers shall call to book
orders. Various Social Networking Sites such as Facebook and Twitter will also be
used to advertise the product.

The owner of the Sweet Jar business shall continue to develop the business in
terms of the flavors offered and product packaging to better serve its customers.

Manufacturing Process

The production of the graham crust


1. Stir together graham-cracker crumbs and butter.
2. Place 2 tablespoons of the graham-butter mixture in each jar

The production of cheesecake

1. Beat cream cheese until it becomes smooth.


2. Add sugar and continue beating
3. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beat well after each addition.
4. Add sour cream, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Beat for 3 minutes.
5. Divide batter among six 6-ounce jars, filling each two-thirds full.
6. Refrigerate overnight to set.

The business will employ manual production model in producing its product-

The procurement of raw materials is not a difficulty since these materials are
readily available in the stores located in Butuan City. The same goes with the
procurement of utensils, equipments, and packaging materials for production.

Business Management and Operation


The management of the whole production as well as the marketing of the
product shall be spearheaded by the owner. The said owner shall also undergo
comprehensive training-workshop to ensure proper understanding and strict
compliance of the production process and marketing strategies.
