cellophanes, the typical packaging, it is made with environmental protection in mind. This

cheese buchi would be packaged in a paper bag and reusable plastic boxes. Available in

packs of 1pcs. for ₱5.00 and 8pcs. for ₱30.00 pesos. Simple deep-frying methods, instant

filling inside that is produced with a combination of crisp and sesame seeds, and flavor-

infused colors create a variety of delectable pastries.

 2 cups glutinous rice flour

 water

 ½ tablespoon sugar

 12 one-inch cube cheese

 ½ cup sesame seeds

 Cooking oil

      Procedures:

allow the mixture to come together into a ball.

o Using a small ice cream scoop, divide the dough into 12 portions.

o Roll each portion between the palm of your hands to form small balls.

o Arrange the balls on your work surface and, using your index finger, press the center
of each ball to create an indentation.

 1-gallon whole milk

¼ cup white vinegar

1 pinch of salt

        Procedures:

o Gather all ingredients!

o Heat milk in a large pot until the temperature reaches 195 degrees (90 degrees C°),

stirring constantly to prevent scorching on the bottom.

and filled with a sweet and savory mixture of cheese and other flavors.

According to PCOW (2016) Buchi is a popular Filipino snack that has been enjoyed

for generations. It is believed to have originated from China and was brought to the

Philippines by Chinese immigrants. Buchi is made from glutinous rice flour, which is high in

fiber and protein. This makes it a great snack for people who are looking for a healthy and

satisfying snack. One of the benefits of buchi is that it is gluten-free, which makes it a great

snack for people who have celiac disease or a gluten intolerance. Additionally, buchi is low

in fat and calories, which makes it a great snack for people who are trying to maintain a

healthy weight.

We will be using Skim pricing, also known as price skimming, a pricing strategy that

sets new product prices high and subsequently lowers them as competitors enter the market.

Skim pricing is the opposite of penetration pricing, which prices newly launched products

low to build a big customer base at the outset.

INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

Globalization

Buchi a fried dim sum originated from China and is known to them as Jian Dui. Jin

dui, jian dui, ma tuan or sesame balls – whatever they call them, they’re beloved not only in

China but around the world. Made from mochi rice and filled with coconut, red bean, sesame

paste or char siu, they puff up when fried, resulting in a thin, crispy, chewy ball of golden-

brown deliciousness. Chinese Fried Sesame Dessert Balls (Jian Dui) is a traditional and

popular Chinese classic dessert, served during Lunar New Year and it that will satisfy your

sweet cravings. Fried sesame balls are made from sticky rice flour. Those sesame balls are

usually filled with sweet red bean paste or black sesame paste and deep-fried until golden

crisp. They are coated with toasted sesame seeds on the outside, giving them a nutty flavor. It

has several other names, like Jian Dui, Jin Dui, Ma Tuan, or Ma Yuan. It can be served as a

snack or breakfast.

If you’re looking for the best place to try Jin DUI, look no further than Chun Wah

Kam. Their Jin DUI is famous and only costs $1.75 per piece. However, since they only

make them in the morning and not every day, it’s important to call ahead and check

availability. Alternatively, you can indulge in the oversized Jin DUI at Golden Palace

Seafood Restaurant for $15 each. With these options, you’re sure to satisfy your craving for

this delicious treat.

Best eaten fresh out of the fryer, jin dui are commonly found in dim sum restaurants,

Chinese bakeries and manapua shops. You’ll also see them at events like this weekend’s

Night in Chinatown. Like malassadas at Punahou Carnival and andagi at Okinawan Festival,

they’re totally worth standing in line for.

National

Considered an icon of Chinese- Filipino culinary tradition, Buchi is categorized as a

kakanin locally, a dessert or snacks made from rice, sweet rice, or root vegetables and slow-

cooked with coconut or coconut milk. Trio Buchi Enterprise offered buchi as a product

innovation with varieties of flavor fillings like cheese, ube, and sweet potato. It came in

different colors to complement its flavor. The product was prepared in Brgy. San Juan,

Calamba City, Laguna and sold at the stall located in front of the Colegio’s vehicular main

entrance, beside Break n’ Zone canteen. It was made to be very affordable for its target

customers, the students of Letran Calamba. The size, appearance, and smell of the product

increased customers’ curiosity which made them try the product. For the packaging, kikiam

tray was used for three pieces of buchi; an acetate box was used for six pieces; and a big box

was used for 24 pieces. The minimum purchase of buchi was three pieces which included the

three flavors – ube, cheese, and sweet potato.

Local

In Region XII and Koronadal City, the local market for buchi is still growing. In

Koronadal City, Brgy. Topland, you may frequently get Buchi in a variety of flavors in sari-

sari shops, roadside booths, food carts, and even bakeries. Everyone loves to buy Buchi since
it is so affordable; children, teenagers, and adults can all buy it, though some older people are

limits. This buchi snack ranges in price from $2 to $5 depending on size.

The most famous establishment that serves this in the Philippines would be

Chowking. It is a Chinese fast-food chain owned by the largest local fast-food company in

the Philippines, Jollibee corp. I remember ordering buchi as a dessert after having some

Siopao Asado. It really tastes great especially when you have the gulaman drink by your side.

There are several types of filling that can be used for Buchi. The most common is the

sweetened red bean paste while the ube and condensed milk mixtures are also becoming

popular. You may use any filling that you want if it suits your taste.

Industry Structure

Cheese Buchi is a unique snack that has gained popularity in recent years. It is a

Filipino snack made from cheese-filled breaded dough that is deep-fried until golden brown.

The industry structure of Cheese Buchi can be divided into three main components: suppliers,

producers, and distributors.

Suppliers are an essential component of the Cheese Buchi industry. They provide the raw

materials needed for production. In this case, dairy farmers are the primary suppliers as they

provide the milk used to make the cheese. Packaging materials suppliers are also important as

they provide the materials used to package and transport the finished product.

Producers are the companies that make Cheese Buchi. They can be divided into two

categories: cheese makers and Cheese Buchi production companies. Cheese makers are

responsible for producing the cheese used in the snack. Cheese Buchi production companies
specialize in making Cheese Buchi. They use the cheese produced by cheese makers and

combine it with breaded dough to create the snack.

Distributors are responsible for getting Cheese Buchi into the hands of consumers.

Wholesalers purchase Cheese Buchi in bulk from producers and distribute them to retailers.

Retailers then sell Cheese Buchi directly to consumers. Online marketplaces have also

become popular distribution channels for Cheese Buchi.

Overall, the Cheese Buchi industry is a niche market within the larger cheese industry.

According to a report by Research and Markets, the global cheese market is projected to

reach $164 billion by 2024, with a compound annual growth rate of 3.7%. As the demand for
