Executive Summary

NickDreyByChinChick (NDBCC) Company was created because of innovation. Ms.

Saban, Ms. Idoy, Ms. Tanghinan, Ms. Bedez & Ms. Aguilar teamed up to create a company

to our liking, for us to enjoy at the same time earn profit by selling to them the product of

corn.

The NDBCC Company’s target is to surprise the customers with a superb and delightful

popcorn called “SPLENDICORN” a splendid corn indeed. Serving them with delectable,

affordable, and an appreciable popcorn to suit their taste buds. Not only we do serve customers

with utmost care, but also to satiate the needs and wants of their customers and to satisfy their

cravings. By that for people to notice their products we came up with a plan, to promote the

product by visiting classrooms. We also chose cost-based pricing, instead of selling it in

different prices for the company and customers convenience. The NDBCC Company’s team is

assigned in different according to their strengths. And lastly NDBCC Company not only aims

to serve customers, but also to gratify them with their goals, motto, and the management’s

teamwork.
Company History

In this year 2018, the business was created because of Innovation. The five people

teamed up to create an astounding business for people to enjoy the product. The company is

motivated to make the people happy and contented with the corn product.

To satiate the needs and wants of the customers by serving them a superb and affordable corn

products, and witness their blissful faces before, during and after eating our good product. The

company started as small business hobby of a Senior High group of friends who likes to make

snacks for fun and at the same time earn profit by selling it to their fellow students.

Brainstorming of what people would want as a snack with low price, and came up with an

enjoyable and affordable snack called SPLENDI CORN added with various flavors which are

chocolate, caramel, cheese, barbeque and chili to satisfy our customers.

Company Description

NickDreyByChinChik (NDBCC) Company aims to provide superb and affordable corn

products that will satisfy the savorous taste of our customer. This company is a partnership

made by Ms. Saban, Ms. Tanghinan, Ms. Idoy, Ms. Bedez, Ms. Aguilar that started as a friends

in the first day of school in Senior High School in University of Mindanao, and been grouped

in a business and came up in a situation of combining nicknames into one. It is located at the

University of Mindanao, Bolton Campus.


Vision

Our vision in our company is to enhance our developing skills as a young entrepreneur

by serving and providing the customers a superb and affordable corn products. It is also a start-

up of our business that will grow and be a successful entrepreneurs someday. In the future, our

company can produce good product throughout the world to make our beloved customers

happy and contented.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a superb and affordable corn products that will satisfy the

savorous taste of our customers. To make our products sold out in to those customers who

really love eating our favorite corn product.

We have three core values;

Delectable. A pleasant taste that you will not forget.

Affordable. A product that will not leave your pockets empty.

Appreciable. A popcorn that you will appreciate and never forget.

Organization/Management Team

We assigned our team to manage the business we have affiliated to our strength and

skills. Janice Saban as the Head Manager, she has a power to control and lead the group and

directs the business to be better. Audrey Idoy as the Head Finance, she has an ability to handle

and take care of the business’s financing system. Ritchel Bedez as the Secretary, she has a

mastery of this job to handle records, and has an ability to help supervise the company’s legal

interests. Ruby Tanghinan as the Product Head, she has a skill to lead the process of making

and producing the product we sell. Garliet Aguilar as the Distributor Manager, has a quality to

manage the products to supply our business with goods.

Product Description

NDBCC Company presents SplendiCorn, a popcorn that is superb and affordable that

will satiate the savorous taste of our customers. It is made from Japanese corn seeds, done

and served to be crunchy and chunky popcorn. Our product has five luscious flavor which

are; Barbeque, Cheese and Chili, that makes our popcorn unique and fascinating. It is

securely packaged in a paper cup with our logo and slogan attached for our customer’s

conveniency.

Product

SplendiCorn is made from Japanese corn seeds, done and served to be crunchy and

chewy popcorn with yummy flavors which are Barbeque, Cheese and Chili. We serve a

delectable, appreciable and affordable corn product to witness our customer’s blissful faces

before, during and after eating our SplendiCorn popcorn, a splendid corn indeed.

Place

NDBCC Company’s medium of transaction is in physical location. SplendiCorn

popcorn is located at SH213, Senior High building, University of Mindanao, Bolton Campus.

Price

The NDBBC Company choose this kind of pricing, the cost-based pricing. Instead of

selling it into different prices, we’ve came up an idea that it shall be sold in a same prices. The

ingredients that were calculated; the corn seeds (60.00 pesos x 5kilo), plus the flavors that have

different prices we’ve bought (50+40+15), plus the margarine (20.00) equals 425.00 plus the

cooking materials (34.00 pesos) equals 459.00 pesos. If our price is only for 10.00 pesos each

pack, we can gain a big amount of profit by that time.

Promotion

SplendiCorn’s company will promote the product in a way of visiting the classrooms

and a little bit of sales talk encourage their selves to buy our delectable product.

People

NDBCC Company aims to make a luscious snack that can satisfy the cravings of our

fellow students.
Packaging

Our luscious SplendiCorn is securely packaged and served in a splendicorn paper bag

with our logo attached outside the surface of the product.

Process

A richly appealing popcorn cooked in a pan with an aromatic margarine by gently

putting the corn in the pan, as it pops with delicious aroma. When it’s cooked we gently put

the popcorn in the splendicorn paper bag and lastly we proceed to add delightful flavors to our

popcorn.
Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity, Threats (SWOT) Analysis

Strength

A lot of people likes popcorn as a snack, very affordable and appreciable added with

delectable flavors they like in order for them to love it. We can assure the quality of our

product with outmost care and having a good reputation to our business.

Weakness

We can’t please all our fellow students to buy our product, although our survey shows

that most of the students like popcorn as a snack, some might not like it or just seasonal

cravings.

Opportunity

We sell a Japanese corn seed popcorn that has 3 various flavors which are Cheese,

Chili, Bbq that makes us unique and stand out. Since our campus has no cafeteria, we will

roam around the Senior High School building to provide our fellow students a convienent and

good experience in buying our product.

Threat

The whole Section 213 are selling corn products and there are other groups that sells

the same product as ours.

In this tally sheet we conducted a survey to the lucky chosen which are the 50 students

to answer our survey sheets.

In table #2 shows that almost all of the students rarely eat popcorn for like once in a day and
once in a week.

In table #3 shows that 40 students likes flavored popcorn to be served than 10 students who
doesn’t.

In table #4 it shows that 60% of the 50 students likes cheese flavored popcorn to be served,
14% likes BBQ flavored, also 14% of the 50 students likes chili flavored and 12% of the 50
students likes to taste all flavors that we have.

In table #5 shows that 26 of the students are excited to buy our products, 4 students says no
and almost half of the 50 students are still doubting to buy.

Conclusion

In our Entrepreneur Week we've realized that it was a little bit difficult but we manage to put

everything into place, at the same time. That there were many struggles during the entrep week,

despite the hectic times, we were able to managed our schedule well by working hand in hand

in our Rask assigned for us to finish on time. Teamwork is really a necessity and we felt and

saw it throughout the process. After the entrep week we felt very happy that everything went

well we won the second place for gaining high profit.

We discovered and learned a lot in our entrep week, the positive and negative sides. on the

positive side we discovered that our BBQ powdered popcorn had surprise factor to our fellow

students and teachers. While the cheese flavored popcorn has also a nice impact together with

our free add on. and our chili flavored popcorn is on the average side, we've discovered that

the students spice tolerance is low, but some other teachers get to enjoy it and also they get to

avail our free chili powder add o; level 1, 2 and 3. In the end, we NDBCC Company we've able

to compensate our lapses as a team, to that we can say that our entrep is a successful week.
