school.

Basketball Training
Ciaran O’Sullivan, from Cork Sports Council will run a free 2 hour basketball workshop on the 20th of February for
children from 3rd to 6th class.
Swimming
Swimming lessons will start on Thursday 22nd of February, please drop your child/ren to the Blarney Hotel for
8.45am. They will be brought back to school by bus when the lessons are over. Children should wear their track
suits on swimming day and it might be advisable for children to have their togs on under their track suits coming to
school. Children will be required to have swim togs/swim cap/2 towels/underwear/plastic bag for wet gear and
goggles (if needed). It would be a good idea for each child to have two pairs of socks. A Turbie Twist towel for hair is
also useful (or similar). Please prepare your child to ensure that they know how to dry themselves over mid-term if
possible.
In-service Day for Primary Language Curriculum
The school will be closed on Wednesday 7th of March as all of the teachers will be attending an in service day.
