Dear Sir,

Unsatisfactory Bus Service

On behalf of the residents of Ipoh Garden, I would like to voice my dissatisfaction regarding the bus
service in our area. Our complains are chiefly concerning bus no. 37 which serves our area.

2. In the first place, the bus services are not punctual. The buses are supposed to coma at half-hour
intervals. However, this is not the case. Sometimes two buses come at the same time. Residents
have seen both the bus driver and conductor chat leisurely over a cup of coffee at a coffee shop
while passengers were forced to wait patiently in the stuffy overcrowded buses. The buses also
break down frequently leaving the passengers stranded.

3. The buses often do not stop at the designated bus-stop. The drivers stop far away from the bus-
stop and make the passengers run to catch the bus. The impatient drivers would not even wait for
the passengers to board the bus. They also drive recklessly at breakneck speeds with complete
disregard for the safety of the passengers.

4. The bus conductors are also rude. They shout at passengers if they slow in boarding or getting
off the bus. Commuters have no other choice but to put up with their rudeness.

5. The residents of Ipoh Gardens have to put up with this predicament for a long time. Our
patience has been unduly test. We urge the bus company to look into our grouses. The bus drivers
should be making to observe the time table. Both the bus drivers and conductors should be
reprimanded for their rudeness, inconsiderate attitude and reckless driving. We suggest that the
company launch campaigns to promote courtesy. The buses should also be properly serviced and
maintained so that they will not break down frequently. As paying commuters, we deserve a better
and more efficient bus service.
