Teacher : “Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.”

Students : “Wa’alaikumsalam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.”

Teacher : “Good morning, students. How are you all today?”

Students : “Good morning, Ma’am. I am fine. Thank you. And you?”

Teacher : “I am very well. Thank you for asking. Now, I am going to call your names,
so please raise your hand if you are present.”

Students : “Yes, Ma’am.”

(The teacher starts calling students’ names. All students are present.)

Teacher : “Great. I’m glad to see everybody is here. OK students; are you ready for the
lesson?”

Students : ”Ready, Ma’am!”

Teacher : “Sounds good. Now, please put away things in your desk except your
Physics Textbook.”

Students : “Done, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “Excellent! Before we go to the next chapter, let me ask you a question. Did
you still remember our material last week?”

(A student raises his hands up)

Teacher : “Great, Billy! Yes, please tell us what have you learned last week.”

Billy : “It was about solar eclipse, Ma’am. So, a solar eclipse occurs when the
moon’s shadow crosses the earth’s surface. The moon is located between the
earth and the sun.”
Teacher : “Perfect! Everyone please give applause to Billy. Thank you, Bill. You are
good of memorizing. Now, we are going to talk about lunar eclipse. Please
open your book page 30, students. Have you all got the page?”

Students : “Yes, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “Good job! Now please take a look at the picture on page 30. A lunar eclipse
occurs when the moon enters the shadow of the earth. The earth is positioned
between the sun and the moon. Do you understand students?”

Students : “Not really, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “Okay, I’ll show you how I mean. I need a volunteer to make a draw about
lunar eclipse. Any one of you wants to come forward, please?”

(A student raises his hands up)

Teacher : “Great, Anthonie! You are a brave student. Please come in front of the class.
Don’t forget to bring your textbook.”

(Anthonie starting to draw)

Anthonie : “I am done, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “Thank you, you did your best. Please go back to your seat. Now, students,
please give your attention to me. It is called Lunar Eclipse. As you can see
here, I write number 1, 2, and 3 in the picture. Can you guess what is number
1 refers to?”

Students : “The sun, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “Great. And then, how about number 2?”

Students : “That’s the earth, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “Very good. How about the last one?”

Students : “Is that the moon Ma’am?”

Teacher : “Yes, you are guys right. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes
through the earth’s umbra or main shadow. Here.”

(The teacher drawing more to the white board)

“A partial lunar eclipse occurs when the moon partially crosses the earth’s
umbra. Here. Do you have any question?”

(A student raises his hands up)

Teacher : “Okay, Lizzy. What is your question?”

Lizzy : “How about the distance of the time, Ma’am?”

Teacher : “Good question, Lizzy! So students, a lunar eclipse takes about 6 hours to
complete, meanwhile a total lunar eclipse takes only about 1 hour and 40
minutes.”

Lizzy : “Okay, Ma’am. Thank you.”

Teacher : “You’re welcome. Any other question?”

Students : “No, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “By the way, what time is it?”

Students : “It is five to eleven, Ma’am.”

Teacher : “Okay. For your assignment, I want you to make a picture of lunar eclipse in
group. Each group consist of 4 students. Please use the list of the attendance
list. I’m going to check it one by one next week.”

Students : “Okay, Ma’am.”

Teacher : ”Okay, That’s all for today. See you all again on Wednesday.”

Students : “See you, Ma’am. Thank you.”
