II. Guidelines and Criteria for Judging

A. On-the-Spot Poster Making


1. Every bloc should have one (1) competing group composed of three (3) participants.
2. Each team will be given one 1/4 illustration board. Note: Participants should bring
their own art materials (paint, oil pastel, crayons etc.).
3. Participants should be at the Student Lounge at 12:50pm sharp of September 5
(Wednesday).. A grace period of 10 minutes will be given for each participating bloc.
The competition will immediately start at 1:00pm.
4. Each team will be given an hour to finish their art piece. A one point deduction shall
be given for every 30 seconds exceeding the maximum time or a fraction thereof.
5. The time keeper will notify each team to wrap up their art piece, five minutes
before the maximum time (1:55pm), and will ring a bell once the time that was set is
over (2:00pm).
6. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
7. Criteria for judging:

Originality 20%
Creativity 25%
Concept 25%
Relevance to the theme 20%
Over-all Attractiveness 10%_

B. Cheering
1. All bloc members present or registered during the event should participate or else
they will be automatically DISQUALIFIED from the CHEERING COMPETITION.
2. There should be one cheerleader, and 2-3

3. There should be no use of any form of bad words in the cheers and yells.

C. Acapella
1. There should be 6-10

2. The duration of the performance should be 3-5 minutes only. A one point deduction
shall be given for every 30 seconds exceeding the maximum time or a fraction
thereof.
3. The type of music to be sung is up to the bloc. Original compositions are allowed,
but not required.
4. No instrument is allowed but the use of the body to make sound is acceptable.

D. Hip Hop
op Competition
1. There should be 7-10
7 participants including ONE STAR DANCER.
2. The duration of the performance should be 5-7 5 7 minutes only. A one point deduction
shall be given for every 30 seconds exceeding the maximum time or a fraction
thereof. The star dancer will be given 1 minute to groove and shine AFTER the bloc’s
dance number. The counting for the time given to the star dancer will be separate
from the 5-7 7 minutes allowable time for each bloc.
3. The use of flash drive and the choice of music are up to the batch. Music for the star
dancer should also be provided by the bloc.

5pm on September 3 (Monday) at the CMSC Office. Office
4. The star dancers of each batch will have a showdown after all the b blocs have
performed their numbers. Music for the showdown will be provided by the CMSC.
The bloc from which the best star dancer comes shall be given an additional 20
points to the overall ranking.

E. Imprompto Dialogo
1. Bawat bloc ay kinakailangan na may tatlo (3) hanggang limang (5) kinatawan bilang
grupong kalahok para sa patimpalak na ito.
2. Bawat grupo ay bubunot ng isang (1) sitwasyon at isang (1) estilo ng pag
pag-ganap.
3. Bawat kalahok ay may tatlong (3) minuto upang makapaghanda at tatlong (3) minuto
upang magpresenta na naaayon sa kanilang nabunot gamit ang wikang Filipino.

assigned theme.
b. Each pair of candidates will be given a maximum of 2 minutes to introduce
themselves and their respective blocs.

a. Candidates must wear corporate business attire.
b. Any design, style, or color may be used.

 Talent
a. Performance must be within 5 minutes only.. One point shall be deducted
for every 30 seconds spent over the time limit or a fraction thereof

a. Each candidate will pick a number that corresponds to their question.

 People’s Choice Award


Six (6) containers corresponding to each candidate will be made available at the
SILAK-SILAB tambayan from August 29 (Wednesday) to September 4 (Tuesday) 8:30am 8:30am-
5:30pm. The bloc with the highest amount collected in their containers at the end of the
given period will bag the “People’s Choice Award”.
Award” Amounts may be in the form of Php 1
coin only. Other forms will strictly not be counted. Additionally, all proceeds 1) will go
back to their respective blocs and 2) will serve as donation to

 Mr. and Ms. Photogenic


A pictorial will be conducted on the August 29 (Wednesday).. Meeting place will be
at the CM Lobby at 3:00pm.. The candidates should bring their theme costumes. These
pictures will be the basis for the Mr. and Ms. Photogenic awards that will be chosen by
the photographer himself.

Each candidate will choose from among their fellow candidates, whom they
prefer/consider to be the friendliest, thus possessing the Bluechips value of Friendship.
This will be done through a secret ballot prior to the pageant. The male and female
candidates who will get the highest number of votes will be declared as the MR. AND
MS. CONGENIALITY.
