SUBJECT : OBSERVANCE OF LINGGO NG KABATAAN AND INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY


ON 21 AUGUST 2018 AT SANVILLE COVERED COURT (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Proposed Activity

The activity is structured in relation to The 2018 International Youth Day’s theme is “Safe Spaces
for Youth” where the youth can come together, engage in activities related to their diverse
needs and interests, participate in decision making processes and freely express themselves.
Program Composition

A. COMPETITION

The designed games stimulates major aspects of today youth such as social engagement,
creativity and camaraderie.

a.1 Social Games

a.1.1 PASS THE MESSAGE

Material/s:

Cardboard and Chalk

Mechanics:

Each member of a team will fall in line facing backward and 1 member will
act as a messenger by holding the board at the end of the queue. A message
will be given to the 1st member on the line which will then be passed to the
next person on the queue until the message is pass to last person. The last
person on the queue will write the conveyed message on the board. The
messengers will then be place according to the time they finish writing the
message. The team who accurately conveyed the message wins.

a.1.2 TUG OF WAR

Material/s:

Rope

Mechanics:

Rope for tying team members


Area guard stand

Team will be tied to form a dragon. The dragon’s goal is to catch the other
dragons tail.

a.1.4 GIANT WORD SEARCH

Materials

Life size word board made of tarpaulin


Colored marker pens

Team will be tied to form a dragon. The dragon’s goal is to catch the other
dragons tail.

a.1.5 ULTIMATE RELAY

Material/s:

Cardboard with printed words (puzzle board)


Puzzle pieces (Letters made of cardboard)
Sacks (5qty tied together)
Wooden planks with 5 ropes (4qty)

Mechanics:

3 courses

Each team will chose first 5 participants that will race to the 3 courses. Then the
next 5 will proceed to the same course to finish the last race which is to solve
a worded puzzle.

Wooden Planks Race

Course 2
Sack Race (5 sacks tied together)

Course 3

Flour Digging

1 member will have to dig the puzzle bag from a bowl full of flour. Once puzzle
bag is obtained, the team will then race back to the starting point to send the
second batch for the race. Once all the bags are obtained the team will then
solve the missing phrase. Whoever finished first wins.

a.2 Slogan and Poster Making Contest

Program to occur simultaneously with the team games. The slogan and poster making
contest is designed to anyone who wish to join. This will be an open time for the contestant
and all entries will be received 30 mins before the end of the program.

An Arts and Craft station will be placed nearby for the participants to accomplish a high
quality piece. This will compose of poster paints, crayons, poster colors, illustration boards,
pens.

a.2.1 SLOGAN & POSTER MAKING

Materials

Arts & Craft Station

Slogan and poster making contest based on the given topic. Teams will be
given a cardboard and pens.

a.3 Non-Team Game

TRIVIAL PINOY QUIZ

Materials:

Projector and White screen


Illustration Letter 4QTY
A series of multiple choice trivial question will be posted and participants will
have to choose the correct letter. Those who get the correct answer moves
on the next round until the winner is selected.

B. GAME STRUCTURE

 8 Teams will be competing for a series of challenges/games. Each team is


compose of 10 members.
 Each teams will accumulate certain points each game depending on their
placement and performance on it.

 Accumulated scores will then be tallied after three first game to determine who
will move on to the final round which compose of 4 teams.

C. ORGANIZER

To further accomplish the program successfully the following task are needed:

 Act as the face and voice of the program and ensures it will run
smoothly and lively.
 Make announcements, explain rules and direct instructions.

Rules and Result Committee

Task:

 Study the rules and structure of the entire game and make sure

every player is adhering it.
 Verify the result to ensure accuracy and transparency
 Finalize the decision in cases such as tie result, complains etc.

Props Committee

Task:

 Set up game materials on the venue and prepare for the next
one.
 Observe on the players while on a game.

Medics
 Respond to the players that needs medical help while playing. 3
 Ensure everybody is in the right state of playing physical games.

To ensure everything is accomplished successfully and fun a documentation is proposed


thru hiring a photographer for a photo booth with impactful and relevant photo
background and banners.
