Lesson plan

Lesson Topic: The topic of the lesson is “The Body Parts”.

Lesson goals:

Communication task:

 Providing a vocabulary of body parts.

Learning strategies:

 Cooperate
 Selection attention

Warm-up:

 Use a song: “Teenage dream” by Katy Perry (5 minutes)


 Teacher´s opinion: you spent more than 5 minutes; I think it was very advanced.
Remember that you are working with elementary (primary) level.
 We will review the body parts using pictures and posters to provide students the
vocabulary.

Presentation:

Use an introductory video about “Body Parts”, we will create a little dance with our students. The
name of the song is: “The Body Parts”. (5 minutes).

 Teacher repeats the vocabulary aloud.


 Students repeat the vocabulary aloud.
 Students have to repeat the vocabulary randomly.
 Teacher´s opinion:
1.- Check the pronunciation in some words. Remember that maybe some students can
have a different pronunciation but this is not a mistake. Use the American and British
English.
2.- Excellent attitude.
3.- Please check the material before your class, because you put something that put
didn´t teach.

Structure: practice (5 minutes).

 Students will receive a hand out; They need to fill the gaps correctly.
 We have to check the exercise.
 Teacher´s opinion: Well! You spend much time doing that and you were so serious and
you are working with children or primary levels.

Structure 2:

 Teacher will stick pictures on the board and students have to describe this pictures in
their notebooks.
 Some students will read their work.
 Teacher´s opinion: ok! You used “Have got”, but don´t forget that maybe they don´t
still know the right use of this.

Evaluation: (5minutes)

 Some of our students will be in front of the class and they have to name some body parts
by themselves.
 Teacher´s opinion: Pay attention please; because you wasted a lot of time doing the
same activities twice.

Wrap-up:

 A game: Cocktail of fruits. Students will make a circle; they have to change of place. The
looser will mention a body parts.
