Love for the nature by

Puan Aminawati came to observe me for the second time today. Today’s lesson has
been integrated with ICT. I did a PowerPoint slide about 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle). I went
to the science lab early in the morning to set up the projector and to get things ready.

I started off by showing few objects that are made from natural materials and man-
made materials during set induction. The pupils gave positive response, many of them raise
their hands to try and answer.

The pupils were engaged with the lesson as soon as I showed the PowerPoint slides
and video clip. They were very attentive and didn’t make much noise. I don’t have much
trouble controlling the class during eliciting of ideas stage. However during restructuring of
idea stage, they have difficulties in understanding my instructions. I believe my instructions
were clear. I’ve instructed them to state 3 importance of reuse, reduce and recycle. Since the
pupils still couldn’t understand, I explained the instructions in Bahasa Melayu. But they don’t
understand what ‘kepentingan’ is. Therefore, I gave examples and I asked them to write only
one importance.

The time went by so fast that the pupils didn’t have much time to complete their
worksheet and discuss the answers with me. Therefore, I gave the worksheet as homework
and the answers will be discussed in the next lesson.

Overall, the lesson went smoot., I manage to complete the lesson within time and I
don’t have much problem controlling the pupils.
