1) Drunken Monkeys:

Before I met the proprietor of the drunken monkey’s I read about the
journey of the founder of drunken monkey’s, Samrat Reddy. When I met
the proprietor of our Vellore franchise I first asked why did they had the
idea of opening a franchise in Vellore. The reason they started opening
franchise is to increase their place in the market. The reason they started in
Vellore is based on the surroundings and also they found a nice suitable
place near VIT which would be the first reason for their profit and well
going of their business in Vellore.
The most advantage of their business is the perfect place which helps to
run their business well. They also mentioned that there are many
competitors coming up recently but they manage to maintain their place in
the market by servicing their customers at their best and increase their
menu items according to customer’s choice. I think there is a high
potential for their business in the long run because of their ambience and
also the way they treat their customers.
More than disadvantage, the recommendations which I would give them so
that their business keeps growing more and more is to expand their area so
that more customers could be served at the same time than make the
customers waiting. Another advantage of their business is that they allow
the customers to entertain themselves by allowing them to play games and
get entertained till they get served with their smoothies.
The best thing I heard from them was one thing which they were taught in
order to solve a problem is smile. They told that they treat their customers
with a smile and if any mistake happens they would apologise and again
smile so that the customers will love to come again.
2) Oh! Cheat Day!

This is the most recently opened restaurant just above drunken monkey’s.
The most interesting of this restaurant is that the people who started this
restaurant are college students who are interested in doing business. A
friend’s group and then planned to start this restaurant which contains
dishes like pancakes, waffles, maggie etc. The place they chose to start is
their main advantage. This would help them mark a place for them in
market using the students who come to their restaurant.
According to them, this place will help them gain popularity among the
students and also the people living in the surrounding area. They also
strongly believe that this would be a stepping stone to their success which
makes them gain confidence to open franchises everywhere across Tamil
Nadu and still more.
There would be a real potential for their business if they maintain their
place in the market which they gain and try more to reach higher and
higher place in the market by servicing their customers to their best. I
would recommend to offer more and more menus which might attract
customers and also it would be good if they give offers to students living
nearby which helps to increase their profit.
