To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Miss Summer Gaines, Western High School Class of 2019 student. I
have the pleasure of teaching Summer in our elective course of Advanced Placement Psychology
thus interacting with her over the span of a year. She is a productive individual academically, in
addition to working well in groups.

Throughout Summer’s experiences in AP Psychology first semester, she was involved as she
continuously stayed focused. One of Summer’s experiences was when she was given the
assignment of “Building her Brain”. She was to create a visual which labeled all parts of the
brain and their functions. Summer created an excellent, user friendly brain that was
well-constructed meeting all the requirements.

Currently, Summer is demonstrating her motivation to succeed as we are in full preparation for
the AP Psychology College Board Exam. She takes each review session seriously and aims to
do well enough on the exam to earn herself college credits. I applaud her diligent study habits
and appreciate her focus in the classroom discussion of materials.

I recognize the admirable traits in Summer and am honored to be a part of her learning. I attest
that her dedication and motivation to succeed are exemplified throughout this portfolio.
