Maitha has formed a good relationship with her MST and Arabic teacher in the classroom.
She just needs to make sure that she hands in lesson plans and reflection on time.

8:25 Good morning boys and girls – can we review the colors – what is today? Yesterday was Monday
– Today is Tuesday – Lets count together – When you’re counting with the kids – try to practice
counting starting from random numbers – like 5 or 6. What did we just talk about – our 5 senses – can
we say our 5 senses together – I can hear – I can see – I can listen – I can touch with what? I can smell
with my?
8:29 – can you guess what is under this? Maybe it is a coffee maker – Listen to the sound – We don’t
know yet? Maybe at this point ask the students to turn and talk to their partner.
Excellent hook using the popcorn machine – what do you smell? What do you hear popping – Its hot
right? Good time to ask them how it feels. Now we can say we can smell the popcorn? What is the
taste of the smell – This popcorn it tastes salty? Did you put salt on it?
8:34 – we will go to the centers and I will tell you what you will do in all the centers –
1st group – taste test
2nd group - texture
3rd group –
Mouth what we do with our mouth
Ears – I hear with my ears
Eyes – we see with our eyes
Hands – we touch with our hands
Nose – we smell with our nose
Focus group - 1st what do you think this is – honey from where do we get the honey – what
does it taste like? Excellent way of sounding out the words so the students can write down
what they taste –
Finished with focus group – and went on to the different groups – to check what students
were engaged in.
9:03 Closing – Students discuss what they did in the centers – When you ask the students
questions and they can’t answer – have students help him rather than you answer

different groups – you should always have a checklist as you walk around and ask questions at the
different groups.
