How is key Concept justified for the unit and the lesson?
Change: The unit focuses on the conversion, movement and transformation. It tells
about changes of settlement with course of time and location.
Identities and relationship: The unit focuses upon the relationship between the humans
and the environment. Settlements do change with change in its identify of the
surroundings.
Objective/s of the lesson: Upon completion of this lesson, student will be able to explain the
concept and necessity of sustainable settlements.
Class will begin with a task where kids will be asked to list question answer round after
showing a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsfeY-F43yA
Flash cards will be given to the students to answer the questions.
What one prominent aspect did you notice in the shown video?
After listening the answer of few students next question will be asked.
What factors will bring such a change?

Development of the lesson: A short video will be shown to students to make them
understand the concept of Urban growth. Later it will explained, how urban growth is
affected by Migration. Students will be asked to list some of the push and the pull factors of
migration, To make the understanding better a short video will be shown to the students.
This will help them to understand some of the pull and push factors of migration.
Ending the lesson: Lastly, the worksheet will be given for recapitulation where students will
categorised different pull and push factors.
