Division is one of the important topics in primary mathematics but children often struggle to
grasp the formal concept of this operation. To make this topic easy to understand, teacher
should teach in an interesting way with suitable methods.

(i) Search information from the internet on fun ways to teach division for elementary
mathematics.

(ii) Select THREE sources that describe the implementation of division operation that
are expected to stimulate and attract the attention of students in the classroom.
Based on these resources, discuss with other mathematic teachers at your school.
The discussion should be focus on the suitability aspect and the possibility that
these can be effectively implemented in the classroom. Record the results,
comments and suggestions from the discussion. Give your reflection on the findings
of the discussion.

(iii) Next, recommend suggestions for improvements, so that the effectiveness of


teaching on this division operation topic can be further improved.

Pembahagian adalah salah satu topik penting dalam matematik sekolah rendah, tetapi
murid-murid sering menghadapi masalah untuk memahami konsep operasi ini. Untuk
menjadikan topik ini lebih mudah difahami, seseorang guru harus mengajar dengan cara
yang menarik mengunakan kaedah yang sesuai.

(i) Cari maklumat dari sumber internet, cara-cara yang menyeronokkan untuk
mengajar Operasi Bahagi dalam mata pelajaran matematik sekolah rendah.

(ii) Pilih TIGA sumber yang menerangkan pelaksanaan operasi bahagi yang dijangkakan
dapat merangsang dan menarik perhatian murid-murid dalam bilik darjah.
Berdasarkan sumber-sumber tersebut, lakukan perbincangan dengan guru-guru
matematik lain di sekolah anda. Perbincangan tersebut hendaklah menjurus kepada
aspek kesesuaian dan kemungkinan cara-cara tersebut dapat dilaksanakan dengan
berkesan dalam bilik darjah. Rekodkan hasil-hasil, komen-komen dan cadangan-
cadangan daripada perbincangan tersebut. Berikan refleksi anda ke atas dapatan
perbincangan tersebut.

(iii) Selanjutnya, syorkan cadangan-cadangan penambahbaikan agar keberkesanan


pengajaran bagi topik operasi bahagi ini dapat dipertingkatkan lagi.
