The Greater Detroit Coalition’s “A Dreamtroit Christmas”
provides a Christmas dream come true to children and families
within our communities.
I helped Joe Campbell (GDC co-founder) organize the Arts and
Crafts aspect of the event. I also volunteered at the Arts and Crafts
station during the event.
There has been a gap in the curriculum in terms of Art History
since I have come to Farber in 2016. The hope is for students to
transfer what they learn and experience at the DIA back into the
classroom and help fill that gap in the curriculum.
I met with the Assistant Principal of both Heritage Junior
High and the UAIS (Utica Academy for International Studies)
to pick his brain about the budgeting and spending process
for both his schools and district.
