II-Rationale:

With reference to DepEd Order no. 43 series of 2017, the beginning teachers of the
Department of Education should undergo Teacher Induction Program (TIP) for these
teachers to be effectively immersed in the public school system. Basically, it targets to equip
the beginning teachers with the knowledge, skills, and values that are expected in the
professional conduct of their roles and functions in their respective stations.

The institutionalization of the induction program and its repackage by NEAP, TIP is
now termed Induction Program for Beginning Teachers (IPBT). The orientation provided by
the Central Office paved way for the direction of the conduct of the program through the use
of modules that beginning teachers have to take in progression. It was also highlighted that
appropriate orientation on the roles of the mentors, the manner of the implementation and the
expected outcomes should be provided for an efficient and effective implementation of the
IPBT.

As the Human Resource and Development Section of the School Governance and
Operation Division -DepEd Davao de Oro had conducted training of trainers on the
Induction Program for Beginning Teachers Modules among identified master teachers and
school heads, New Bataan District, Division of Davao de Oro will conduct district roll out on
the said training among all master teachers, senior teachers by position (for schools without
master teachers) and schools heads whom will become the IPBT mentors.

After the district roll out to the mentors, the school-based implementation of the
Induction Program for Beginning Teachers (IPBT) shall take place in every school.
