Goals and objectives:

In this lesson, students will work in groups of 2 (I will choose your partner) and the assignment
consists of collecting information on one Art period in Art history. Students will identify the
history of the period/movement, characteristics that distinguish each Art period, identify
important artists that were part in the art period, and I want to know 2 reasons why you chose
your art period/movement. By the end of the lesson, my students will be able to analyze and
determine what type of Art was being created during each period/movement by observing at
the subject matter and special characteristics in the artworks. Students will then apply what
they’ve learned from the art movement they chose on a bubble map. After completing/
organizing your bubble map, your group will create a presentation and present it to the class.
Please be sure to include fundamental information of the art period/movement you choose;
you don’t want to lose points for not completing the assignment appropriately.

Presentation
Once your bubble map is completed and contains the correct
information, your group will then create a presentation for the
whole class using google slides or Power Point. Make sure
your presentation covers all required material and all
questions must be answered. Be creative with your
presentation and you can earn up to 10 extra credit points.
The presentation must be 5 minutes long and each student
must talk 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Participation is part of
the grade so, be fair to your partner. I have to approve your art
period first, because we don’t want to have more than 2
groups working on the same art period. Presentations will be
presented on the last 2 weeks of school. Good luck!!!
