I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
1. indicate time accurately using the analog clock,
2. read and write time as shown on the clock and
3. practice the habit of coming on time.
B. Preparatory Activities
1. Review
What was the lesson that we have studied -Days and Months of the Year
yesterday?

How about the last month of the year? -December
I have here a set of jumbled letters in the
pocket chart. The words that you will form are
names of the days or months. Are you ready? -Yes teacher.

form a word easier.

3. Motivation
(Teacher presents a riddle to the class)

What does the short hand tell? -Short hand tells the hour.

What does the long hands tells? -The long hand tells the minute.
Again, what hand tells about the hour? -The hand that tells the hour is the short hand.
Correct, It’s a short hand.
What hand tells about the minute? -The hand that tells the hour is the long hand.
Yes, it’s the long hand.
2. Fixing Skill/Practice
Group the pupils into 3. Provide each group
with a toy or improvised clock. The teacher
will show time on card. Members of each
group shows the time using the toy clock.
The first group to show the time correctly (The pupils do the activity)
wins the game.
3. Generalization
In one complete cycle of the minute hand,
how many minutes? -There are 60 minutes in one complete cycle
of the minute hand.
In 60 minutes, how many hour? -1 hour.

4. Application
“Game-Using Time Dice”
I will group you into 3, as I flash the card
time, you must set the time correctly on the board.
There should be cooperation by each group. I will
only show the card time only for 5 seconds. When
you hear the word “GO” it is time to you to
answer on the board.
The faster the group with correct answer
will win.
