A. Preparatory Activities

Show the following pictures to the class.

2. fork and meter stick
3. pencil and meter stick

2. Review
What was our lesson last meeting? Give an example.
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
A. Show sticks with different lengths. 1 centimeter stick and 1 meter stick.
a.Which is long
b.Which is short?
c. How many short sticks are there in the long sticks?

B. Show illustration about the relation of short stick and long stick on the board.
Show different objects from the room.
Example: notebook, bond paper, cabinets, tables, ballpen…
Which of the following are considered short objects?
Which of the following are considered long objects?
What measuring device will you use in measuring short objects? How about long objects?
Why is it important to use appropriate measuring device in measuring the length of an objects?

Gumuhit ng 5 bagay na ang gagamiting unit og length sa pagkuha ng sukat ay cm at 5 bagay din sa m.

Centimeter (cm) is used to measure short objects and Meter (m) is used to measure long objects.
