CHAPTER 3

RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES

 Research Design

The researcher used quantitative method in this research because this is the easiest way

to show the description of a certain situation. Also, it can be more helpful to the researchers

to easily check the data gathered that can be use in this study.

 Research Locale

The participants came from Our Lady of Fatima University Valenzuela City

(Valenzuela Campus). This offered an opportunity for the researchers to look more possible

participants that passed the criteria needed on the study and it is also the most convenient

place for the researchers.

 Population and Sampling

The respondents of the study will be 100 SHS students in different Strand came from

Our Lady of Fatima University (Valenzuela Campus). The chosen respondents were

expected to be knowledgeable enough about the questions to be able to answer questions

that the researchers made.

 Research Ethics

The researchers respect the confidentiality and privacy of the participants. Also, this

study is ensured of a consent letter that is verified by the research adviser. The respondents

are allowed to leave the research study without any consequences or penalty.

 Research Instrument

The tools to be utilized to gather the necessary data or information that would support

entirety of the study. The researchers use research instrument like questionnaire because

they know that using it can make their interview easy. So they will give every respondent

a questionnaire to answer all the given question, where they can get the results after

gathering the answers.

 Data Collection

The researchers gathered to brainstormed ideas and thoughts to make a significant

survey questionnaire about the topic. When the time that all the ideas and thoughts of the

researchers put together and organized, the researchers would go find the target

respondents for the survey. The target respondents are the Senior High School students of

Our Lady of Fatima University (Valenzuela Campus) that are using online shop for

shopping. Once the researchers found out the target respondents, the researchers asked

permission and gave the inform consent to the target respondents and communicate well

first to avoid awkwardness towards the target respondents. The researchers gave the survey

questionnaire to the chosen respondents and waited until the respondents finish the survey

questionnaire. Some of the researchers took some photos for documentation.

 Data Analysis

In the survey questionnaire, the statistical formula to be used to gather data is the

formula below.
