Opening Ceremony
After a long sleep in scouting, a school in Sta. Rita Samar started to light up the spirit of scouting again.
Before the module activity kicked – off, participants heard some important and wise reminders from one of the
Board Member of Samar Council Alvin De Veyra Abejuela and the Field Scout Executive of Tacloban City Council
Don Nikko Lemuel S. Octaviano gave their inspiring message to the participants to what scouting really means to
them.
Investiture
As expected in a school where scouting
was inactive, most of the participants
undergo the Investiture ceremony at the
crack of dawn. It was the participating scouts
of the encampment promised to commit their
lives guided by the scout law.
Modules and Challenge Valley
The highlight of the encampment, scouts experienced different discussion from advancement
scheme, basic knot tying, semaphore flag to first aiding and the exciting challenge valley the participants
learned a lot from their facilitators from years of experience in scouting. The participants gained important
knowledge that can be used in their day to day life in the future.

Community Service
One of the activity participants experienced was the community service, where it showed that
scouting movement cares for the environment and also the community where scouts and scouters. With
the goal in creating a better community, the participants cleaned the nearby river, chapel and the school
premises accompanied by the barangay tanods, adult leader and facilitators of the activity.
Closing Program and Awarding
After the bittersweet experience, the participants finished the encampment with all smiles
from start to the end. As the per crew receive their awards given by the outfit adviser it was a
moment to cherish of crews who receive their rewards after the 3 days 2 nights encampment. This
encampment will surely be in the hearts and minds to participant scout and will continue the spirit
of scouting in Tominamos Integrated School for the years to come.
