OBJECTIVE

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Study the Tie In Packages and Non Shutdown Lines which are to be erected before
shutdown.
2. Carry out the Site visit along with Operations & Maintenance to team for feasibility study.
3. Attending the planning meeting with clients team to carry Tie In jobs.
4. Follow up with client regarding the material and preparedness to carry out the Tie in jobs.
5. Receiving the work permits from client and to complete the day to day jobs.
6. Demands for the work permits from clients day to day for jobs related activities.
7. Ensure that all Plant Safety Procedures are adopted by manpower while carrying out the job.
8. Studying of the Major Systems which are to be taken up in shutdown for revamp.
9. Ensure the materials and spools are available to carry out the job smoothly during shutdown.
10. Handling of piping job starting from P&ID checking to Mechanical Completion of Piping
loops including Hydro/Pneumatic testing, punch point list clearing (A&B category).
11. Monitoring flushing, venting, & draining of lines after Hydro testing & Box up of the loops

KEY RESPONSIBILITY (PIPING)

1. Study of the project specifications, Standards, Vendor GA drawing and checking clashes if
any with other discipline.
2. Detailed studies of isometric drawings, GA drawings, P&ID w.r.t piping erection.
3. Preparation of erection sequence based on the front available/erection priority/spool
delivery date.
4. Study the critical equipments and critical structures to be erected and planned in advance
for crane/equipment access/ movement.
5. Before giving erection clearance, physically check and ensure that the site preparatory
works.
6. Adequate safety measures to be taken and aiming for zero incidents. Ensuring CFA audits,
tool box talk, STA on site & compliance of all CFA observation.
7. All the piping connecting to pump/compressors/motors are without any stress on any
equipment flanges. If any mismatch, corrective action to be taken.
8. Ensure ITPs are handed over for piping /equipments to maintenance/operations.
9. Conduct regular tool box talks covering erection procedures, safe use and custody of rigging
accessories, use of PPE.
10. Ability to organize/manage all piping erection activities to meet the target date.
