B. Type of Project

This project is a community service wherein we will provide activities such as cleaning the
streets, help children to read and write. We’ll going to offer tutorial services to the children of the
chosen barangay. We will start on testing their knowledge about their lessons in school by giving them
some exercises from their different subjects they take on their schools just like in English. We will going
to observe if they know how to read well and teaching them on how to pronounce the word correctly.
We will also help them do their projects and homework as if we are performing tutorials since they
don’t have classes during Saturdays. We will also going to play a short story that will enhance the sense
of understanding of the children. After those exercises, we will give them snacks such as biscuits and
juices to engage them to our last activity. Later after we are done performing all the activities it’s time
for them to enjoy because we prepared games and prizes for the children. We will provide and give
them reading stories so that, they will have something that will help them to read especially to those
who can’t read yet, at least they will go back home with a smile on their faces carrying the experiences
and knowledge that we will share to them. We will also give them school supplies. The next project we
are going to do is Zumba which can help every resident to maintain their healthy body. We will donate
some cleaning materials in the chosen barangay. Lastly, we will do postal cleaning with the company of
teenagers and volunteers of the chosen barangay. We will encourage them to start helping when there
are activities in their community and start cleaning their surroundings until it serves as their hobbies.
This program might help the youth to express their selves and be a great help to the society until the
next generation. We choose San Agustin Bauan, Batangas as the location of our community service.

D. Beneficiaries

Our target beneficiaries are the citizens of Barangay San Agustin. We chose them, because we
want to help ensure that they will grow not only physically but also mentally and emotionally capable in
everything. Some children can’t cope up when it comes to English and who are we to blame them for
hating this subject. Some of them can’t read and some will need to enhance their reading skills. Other
parents may not be able to teach them because of work, so here we are, volunteering ourselves to make
sure that they will learn something for us. We want them to enjoy their lives as children without
forgetting the things they need to do. We also want to make sure that the youth is more than ready and
knowledgeable before they face their responsibility in the community. This will not only benefit the
children but also benefit our chosen barangay because this program may help their people to be
disciplined and responsible when it comes to their acts.

II. Project Description

A. Rationale

Our project program is about giving a service to the community and the residents of the
selected Barangay especially the children/students and senior citizen will be our beneficiaries. This
project will start at exactly 6 o’clock in the morning and will end at exactly 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
We were bound to share knowledge, learning and lessons for them to be responsible on their actions.

We noticed that people nowadays are too idle to exercise. Some are not physically fit due to
laziness. To solve this problem we will going to promote another way of exercising which is ZUMBA. We
will play lively music and we will serve as the dance instructor.

According to our observation and personal experience, students nowadays are facing difficulties
in understanding the universal language, English so we are going to test their intellectual activity
through giving them activities and exercises. We will going to teach them how to read, write and to
pronounce words correctly. This kind of setup will help them familiarize themselves more with the
English subject and they will somehow use it. We will use visual aids such as flashcards and storybooks.
After reading the story we will going to ask them, what is the story all about, the settings of the story,
who are the characters and what are the lessons that they’ve got from the story that we read. We will
also going to play some videos that will boost their energy.

Lastly we will do postal cleaning to San Agustin specifically the drainages, the road and the
