-This chapter is the representation of the review of related literature and

studies to specify the connection of other studies to this topic. This involves the

deliberation of the affinity of some present studies to verify the effectivity of the

materials used in this topic /study.

Related Literature

Cleaning agent confirming to the present invention may take any form that is

suitable for the application intended and be applied by a way of suitable cleaning

procedure. Liquid cleaning agents can sometimes be treated as concentrates. The use

of a cleaning agent confirming to the present invention is also possible in the forms of

creams, pastes, powders, pearls, tablets, etc. Application as a solution, suspension,

emulsion, spray, foam or in a moistened cloth. As well as the extract exterior

presentation depends above all in the application intended.

Gumamela is known as “Ayurveda Hibiscus” or white gumamela and red

gumamela in idian traditional system it is considered to have medicinal properties.

GUMAMELA CLEANING AGENT

A study conducted last October 2008 and fulfilled after January 2009, make use

of Malunggay leaves as cleaning agent. The researcher made two trials to see if the

product is effective or not. In the first trial, the product needs a lot of improvements

while in the second trial the researcher found out numerous positive results and they

discovered that Malunggay leaves can be an alternative component of cleaning agent I

removing household stains.

In comparison with this study, it manipulates the use of ornamental plants in

producing alternative cleaning agent. In which it aimed to produce an alternative

cleaning agent that can generate ornamental (medicinal) plants to be commercially

reduced.

Synthesis of the State-of the-Art

Certain studies and concepts were preside and analyzed, each of this emphasizes

Gumamela as its primary or main material wherein certain properties were involved.

Thus, the related studies reviewed the purpose of Gumamela as a component in

producing an alternative cleaning agent. Some concepts cited in the reviewed study

guide the researchers in producing alternative cleaning agent.

Gap to be Bridged by the Study

GUMAMELA CLEANING AGENT

The present literature and studies have explored the experimentation of

Gumamela plant that became the main material in producing dishwashing liquid and

also resulted as an alternative cleaning agent. The reviewed studies conducted by the

early researchers have influenced the present study.

Conceptual Framework

This study aims to produce an alternative cleaning agent employing Gumamela

Flower as its main material.
