PROPOSAL # 1

INTRODUCTION :
Presented in this program are guidelines for the design of a conservatory for young performing
musicians to be located in the Islamabad. The primary function of the facility would be to provide
instruction and effective learning experiences for talented high school students who aspire to professional
roles in music performance and its related professions.

PROJECT TITLE:

ARCHITECTURE AS A FROZEN MUSIC

( SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND DANCE )

REASON OF SELECTION :
There is big lack of music and dance facility for the student. There is not even a single properly designed
institute of music and dance. NCA and MAD school offers this programs but in minor scale.

Why Pakistan music industry struggling?

Because there is not even a single properly designed institute of Music. Where student can go and learn
music .

So I want to design such institute which has all kind of facilities related to music and dance . Where
student can learn music and dance can take part in international competitions .Where student can
interact with senior musician of music industry . by doing that we can revive the music industry of
Pakistan .

SITE PROFILE:
SITE : Site is located in Islamabad Pakistan.

USER GROUP: Musicians , Dancers , Public , Students

 SCOPE OF WORK:

 The design will include following parts:

 Detailed site analysis including data collection and its derived conclusions to step forward to the
design phase, helping in taking essential design decisions.
 Master planning of the whole school according to the standard areas required.
 Landscape design, connectivity pattern, accesses to the site, footprints of every facility, etc. will be the
part of master plan design.
 Detailed planning of one of the major music facilities. (that may include class room , auditoriums ,
workshops , instrument shops , studios, gymnasium, and administration. etc.)
 All the architectural requirements for the proposed systems, required to fulfill the aspect of energy
efficiency.
 Developing staying facilities for the students.

REQUIREMENTS:
Spaces:
Administrative Sector ; Cultural Sector (Gallery, Library); Educational Sector (Conference hall,
training Academy, classes and workshops); other Sector (cafes , , workshops, Gym, instrument
shops etc.)

Dance Dep. : Classical , Modern , Traditional

METHODOLGY:
The design will be comprised of master plan of the institute and the detail planning of
the institute.

INTRODUCTION:
Sports play an important role in the nation development as healthy mind and
healthy body is key to uplift any society

Now a days people with disability are participating in different sports and
physical activities. Many developing countries are providing opportunities to the
disabled so that they can show their abilities. But this is not practiced in all parts of the
world especially in developing countries like Pakistan also.
There are significant number of people with disability in developing countries.
Sports have important role in every one’s life and it is more important for a disable
person. This is because sports can have rehabilitative influence on people with
disability. Nowadays, disable people are participating in competition and recreational
sports.

PROJECT TITLE:

“Integration of ability with disability “

Sports complex for handicaps
REASON OF SELECTION :
There is big lack of sports facility for the handicaps. There is not even a single sports complex for the
handicaps, as the percentage of handicaps person is 20% which means one person out of every person
disabled is handicapped.

This percentage is not neglectible then why this society lacks in the sports facility for the handicapped
people?

It is important to remember that people cannot change. our impairments are not going to just
disappear. But the barriers can all be taken away and if our society is fully accessible, then nobody will
be disabled if we use the social model as a tool for change we can have a real impact on the accessibility
of the arts like sports facilities.

Thus there must be a sports facility for the handicapped person in the city of normal person, so that the
handicapped people may consider themselves an active member of this society.

 Landscape design, connectivity pattern, accesses to the site, footprints of every facility, etc. will be the
part of master plan design.
 Detailed planning of one of the major sports facilities. (that may include
cricket/football/hokey/multipurpose Stadiums, auditoriums, sports museums, training centers etc.)
 All the architectural requirements for the proposed systems, required to fulfill the aspect of energy
efficiency.
 Developing staying facilities for the players.

Academy, classes and workshops); Sports Sector (Cricket Stadium, Pool, Table Tennis Hall, Gym,
Wheelchair Path etc.)

Blind Cricket ; Wheelchair Cricket ; Football ; Volley Ball ; Wheelchair Race ; Wheelchair Basketball ;
Wheelchair Table Tennis ; Swimming ; Sailing ; Rowing ; Gymnastic ; Goll Ball(blinds) ; Boccia ; Cycling
etc.

METHODOLGY:
The design will be comprised of master plan of the sports complex and the detail planning of the
multipurpose gymnasium.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

Sport participation and active recreation is important to reduce the likelihood of poor health.
Disabled can get numerous mental and physical benefits by being physically active and participating in
sports. The basic objectives of this sports complex are:

 To reduce chronic conditions in disabled people.
 Removing the inferiority complex of being incomplete
 To Increase health and stamina.
 Allow to judge the abilities, not disability.
 To enhance social interaction. Physical activities provide healthy social outlet where people can have
discussions on different experiences.
 Introducing new sports which are not yet famous in Pakistan
 To develop self confidence so that people with disability can participate in other fields of life.

RESEARCH ASPECTS:
My basic research will be that how could I make the complex friendly for the people with disability. I will
consider the standards for disabled to make the building convenient for them. I will find out the ways
that how can I effectively use the environment for their mental health and rehabilitative influences.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:
With the time our country is losing its identity because we have lost our heritage and culture. The
upcoming generations are not given the knowledge of our traditional cultures and of our real heritage.
The neglectance from our Government to conserve the protected ones is rising to its peak. Through
architecture we narrate history of people to whom the architecture belongs. It is a “three dimensional
display of the strong roots of a person”

PROJECT TITLE:
Cultural Museum

INTRODUCTION:
The project will focus on the development and promotion of diminishing art and culture. It would not
only promote the gradually fading identity but it would also attract both international and local tourists
to get familiar with our heritage.
“Create A Place That Reflects Culture And Heritage”
Through architecture we narrate history of people to whom the architecture belongs. It is a “three
dimensional display of the strong roots of a person”. There would be an interactive display and creative
spaces for users. The building will support the development and transmission of knowledge, skills, values
and cultures as well as the opportunity for the users to experience their own identity. There will be the
physical manifestation of the cultures as well. Though an adaptable design the relationship of spaces and
vice versa shall be strengthened. This shall result in an expression of museum which will explore the
connection between the generation and their heritage.
SCOPE OF PROJECT:
Will exhibit all the civilizations of our culture
Will incorporate best views and aesthetics
It will have creative spaces for users and spaces to experience
