Reading Comprehension Among G12 Students
METHODOLOGY
Research Locale
The study will be conducted in Curuan National High School. The researchers will gather
data from the G12 curriculum specifically H.E. A, H.E. B, HUMSS A and HUMSS B. The
researchers will choose the place of implementation because it will give the researchers the
needed information for gathering the data. The study will be conducted during the first semester
Sampling Design
Correlation quantitative design will be use for the research. The technique that the researchers
will use is simple random sampling wherein the researchers will choose 15 (fifteen) students in
selected section of G12 of Curuan National High School, by doing the lottery. The researchers
ensure that for picking the respondents, unbias and fairness will be observe.
The sample frame for the study is consist of sixty (60) students and it will be compose of
questionnaire for the data collection. The reading comprehension was adapted from TOEFL
Junior Standard Test. It is use as the main tool in this study to make the collection easier and
faster. The reading comprehension will be given to the G12 students of Curuan National High
School. The questionnaire are composed of sixteen (16) structured questions. The basis in
making the questions were from the aim of this study, which are: This study aims to: 1)
Determine if there is a significant difference in the reading comprehension scores of the two
sections. 2) Identify which of the two sections in G12 performs better in reading
