THERAPEUTIC EXERCISES AND FUNCTIONAL TRAINING

COURSE CODE: TEX 201


COURSE TITLE: Therapeutic Exercises and Functional Training

COURSE CREDIT: 4 Units (3 units Lecture, 1 unit Laboratory)


PREREQUISITE: Medical Terminology, Introduction to Physical Therapy,
Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology, Systemic and Applied
Physiology

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed to equip students with fundamental knowledge and skills in patient
care management. Also, the course introduces the students to principles, concepts, and
techniques in developing and implementing basic therapeutic exercises programs and
functional training interventions in the context of health promotion and rehabilitation.
Furthermore, the course discusses general management principles in prescribing therapeutic
exercises for soft tissue injury, repair, connective tissue disorders, bone disorders,
postoperative, and peripheral nerve disorders.
