Dear Sir,

I, Nicole Marie Eleanor S. Turaray am respectfully expressing my intention to apply for

residency program in the Department of Surgery.

Igraduated from University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and took up Post
Graduate Internship at the same institution.

I enjoyed surgery rotation during clerkship and internship; we were able to assist in different
cases guided by learnings from our residents and consultants. I felt fulfilled and satisfied despite
long hours in the operating room. Our patients become our greatest teachers and from them
we are able to experience what were just in our books. Surgery embraces physician and patient
interaction, trust regarding life is all on the surgeon’s hand once the patient is on the table.
More so, a surgeon would do his/her best recognizing the trust given by the patient.

I believe that residency training for the field that I want to pursue is best taken at a public
hospital which offers handful of cases .The Medical City would provide me training and skills as
well as build my character in order to become a better physician. Academic excellence and its
stimulating environment make it a great training avenue for residency
