At the end of the discussion, learners should be able to:
a) explain what is air pollution;
b) trace the causes and effects of air pollution; and
c) cite simple ways on how to control air pollution and appreciate its importance in
mitigating species extinction

seen and heard. They will write it on their “thinking clouds”.

A. Enabling Activity
Each group will be provided with an envelope. Inside, all the instructions and materials are
found. An allotted time of seven (7) minutes will be used for the activity. After that, each will
choose a representative to present their output in class.

Students will be given cut-outs of green colored papers. Each will write down a pledge about
what they can do to help control/stop air pollution. After that, they will post it on the “Tree
of Hope” posted on the board.

E. Assessment
Each group will utilize one cellular phone for the activity. They will join the network
and will answer the questions projected on the board. The group which will gather the
highest point will be declared as the winner and will receive a prize.
