CONTENT STANDARD 8.1 Acid and Alkaline

LEARNING STANDARD
8.1.1 Test acidic, alkaline and neutral substances through
changes in colour of litmus paper by carrying out investigation.

8.1.2 Make generalisation on acidic, alkaline and neutral


substances through taste and touch by testing a few substances.
OBJEKTIF By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to :
PEMBELAJARAN (i) State the litmus paper and taste/touch is used to test acidic,
alkaline or neutral substances through discussion.

(ii) State that the colour changes of litmus paper show acidic
(blue-red / red-red) and alkaline (red-blue / blue-blue) while no
colour changes is neutral (blue-blue / red-red) through
investigation.

(iii) Classify ten materials into acidic, alkaline or neutral based on


group activity.

PENGETAHUAN SEDIA Pupils knew the senses of taste such as sour, bitter, sweet and
ADA salty.

Kelas : 3 Al-Biruni

Subjek : Sains

Saya telah mengajar topik Asid, Alkali dan Neutral pada minggu ini. Saya memulakan
sesi PdPc dengan bermain teka rasa bersama murid kemudian saya membiarkan mereka
menguji bahan sendiri bagi memberikan pengalaman kepada mereka. Setelah itu, saya
menerangkan isi pelajaran dengan menggunakan slaid PowerPoint dan menjalankan
penyiasatan dengan menggunakan beberapa bahan lain. Saya akhiri PdPc dengan nyanyian
lagu yang direka sendiri oleh saya.

Kekuatan pada sesi PdPc saya ialah saya menggunakan bahan maujud untuk
mengajar dengan menjalankan penyiasatan. Hal ini supaya murid dapat belajar melalui
pengalaman sendiri supaya mereka lebih mudah untuk mengingat isi pelajaran. Saya juga
menggunakan lagu bagi menjalankan PdPc secara didik hibur. Hal ini dapat mewujudkan
suasana seronok untuk belajar di samping membantu murid mengingat isi pelajaran dengan
cara yang mudah.

Kelemahan pada sesi PdPc saya ialah kawalan kelas yang agak kurang memuaskan
terutama apabila melaksanakan aktiviti. Murid agak bising apabila ingin meminta bahan atau
bertanya kepada guru. Hal ini agak menyusahkan guru dengan suasana yang agak bising.

Cara bagi mengatasi masalah ini ialah guru perlu mengetatkan lagi peraturan kelas
dan beri dendaan ringan seperti tidak memberi murid bahan apabila murid bising. Guru juga
boleh menggunakan kaedah ganjaran seperti gula-gula apabila kumpulan itu dapat
menyiapkan tugasan dengan senyap dan teratur. Kesimpulannya, saya berpuas hati dengan
sesi PdPc saya kerana murid terlibat secara aktif di dalam semua aktiviti kelas.
