9. Objektif:
The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Manufacturing Design) graduates in
Polytechnics, Ministry of Education will have the knowledge, technical skills and attitude to adapt
themselves with new technological advancement and challenges in the manufacturing engineering field.
10. Hasil Pembelajaran:
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: -
1. Analyse economical and environmental impacts on product design. (C3, PLO1) (C4, PLO2)
2. Imitate the suitable design tools and techniques on environmental friendly products. (P3, PLO4)
3. Decide strategic planning for eco-friendly product towards sustainable development. (A4, PLO7)

13. Sinopsis

DESIGN FOR ENVIRONMENT is to expose a new generation of product designers and managers who
will play a major role in the move towards sustainable development. Product designers need to
integrate the needs of the customers with those of the environment to ensure that the society can reach a
more balance tradeoff between economy and environment. New eco-friendly products need to be
developed and utilized towards sustainable development at national and global level.
