GROUND RULES
1. All competitors must follow and accomplish the forms needed and required by the DSAC for the
Division Sports Meet. In addition, all competitors shall sign the entry form provided by the
organizers. Any lacking with the prescribed requirement during the Division Screening of Athletes’
Forms shall be disqualified from the competition.
2. A team may be allowed to entry a maximum of two (2) couples per Discipline (Modern Standard
and Latin America) from both Public and Private secondary schools and per Zone in the elementary.
The competition age group, disciplines, categories and dances are as follows:

3. The maximum time routine is 1 minute and 30 seconds. The organizers shall provide all the music
for the group performance.
4. A pair shall wear, STRICTLY the dancesport costume following the guidelines/Dress Code
Regulation of the Palarong Pambansa (Attached).
5. Lifts will be discouraged in the competition. For the purpose of this rule, a lift is defined as any
movement during which one of the dancers has both feet of the floor at the same time with the
assistance or support of the partner. Violation of this rule may result to disqualification.
6. All competing couples who are not ready on the floor for their events will be eliminated.
7. For the JUVENILE, CLOSE SYLLABUS shall be observed. Any couple performing steps out of
the Syllabus will be placed last. The coach/trainer will be responsible to this matter.
8. The decision of the Adjudicators is final. No communication and/or correspondence will be
entertained.
9. Medals (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) and certificates will be given to the winning competitors while
ranks 4th-7th will be awarded only certificates.
10. All competitors will be judged through marking and ranking system.
11. No trainer nor coach is allowed to intervene during/after the competition.
