LEARNING PLAN
Course Title: TLE8

Course Description: The learner demonstrates an understanding of the basic concepts of selected TLE course in Home Economics, Industrial Arts, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and ICT
competencies common to TLE courses such as use and maintenance of tools, observing, safety in the workplace, mensuration and calculation, and interpreting technical drawings; and gains
specialized knowledge and skills in at least one TLE that would enable him/her to obtain NC II.

FIRST QUARTER – Dressmaking

Content Standard:

1. Demonstrates understanding of basic concepts and underlying theories in dressmaking/tailoring.


2. Demonstrate understanding of one’s PECS.
3. Market that relates with a career choice in Dressmaking.
4. Demonstrate understanding in the use of sewing tools in dressmaking/tailoring.
5. Demonstrate understanding in carrying out measurements in dressmaking/tailoring.
6. Demonstrate understanding in reading and interpreting product designs and specifications in dressmaking/tailoring.
7. Demonstrate understanding in performing basic maintenance of sewing machine in dressmaking/tailoring.
8. Demonstrate understanding in practicing occupational safety and health in dressmaking/tailoring.

Performance Standard:

1. Demonstrates common competencies in dressmaking/tailoring as prescribed in the TESDA Training Regulation.


2. Recognizes his/her PECs and prepares an activity plan that aligns with that of a practitioner/entrepreneur in Dressmaking.
3. Generates a business idea based on the analysis of environment and market in Dressmaking.
4. Uses tools in dressmaking/tailoring.
5. Carries out measurements and calculations based on job requirements.
6. Reads and interprets product designs in dressmaking/tailoring.
