There is no minimum requirement in terms of Construction. Few
Preschool
things one needs to keep in mind are Class Room size (500 Sq Ft),
Library (1150 sq feet+) & Labs (600 Ft+). Beyond this you can decide Principal

appropriately. Right to Education (RTE)

I can’t comment about Haryana board for that one has to look into
the state guidelines. For CBSE if this Land is outside of NCR than
you would need a minimum of 1.5 Acres i.e 7260 Sq yards. If its
within NCR, land requirement will change, read my blog [

The CBSE in its new bye laws has asked the schools to follow the
guidelines of National Building Code (NBC). Kindly help yourself
there.

Dear Mr Kumar,
The building could be of any shape you like till the time you are
following space norms like 500 square feet for 40 students in the
Classroom and Library & Lab norms laid down in the CBSE bye-
Laws.

The Shape has no consequences on the A liation.

 There is no minimum size prescribed for the ground. The land
should be more than 6000 meters.

Dear sir, I want to start a cbse school in my village. There is no cbse

school surrounding 40km area to my village. I want to start it for only
pre-primary. Nur pp1 & pp2. Is there any changes from above
guidelines?

Pre Primary School does not come under CBSE, CBSE only starts
from Class I and onwards.

Is it necessary to provide ramp access to all the oors (for students
using wheelchairs), even when the oors can be accessed by a lift?

For any school to start, it is mandatory for the society / Trust or

Section 8 company to apply for state board a liation.
