RETAINER CONTRACT

This CONTRACT is made and executed into this _______ day of ____,
20___, at ___________________, Philippines, by and between:

[Name and personal circumstance of CLIENT] hereinafter called the

CLIENT,

-and-

[Name and personal circumstances of LAWYER, Law office and

address in case the Law office is engaged], hereinafter called the
ATTORNEY.

ATTORNEY cannot guarantee the result of the litigation to CLIENT and

has so informed CLIENT, and the ATTORNEY accepts the appointment by
CLIENT without any promise or guarantee of result.
CLIENT is informed and agrees that for the purposes herein, the term
“cost” shall include any and all charge incurred by reason of the litigation
including cost for deposition cost, professional fees incurred in the
preparation, prosecution and/or defense of this case, commissioner’s costs,
bailiff’s fees, long distance telephone charges, copies and all cost incidental
thereto. These cost are ADDITIONAL to Attorney’s and are payable in
advance or, if billed, within ______days from receipt of bills.
CLIENT agrees to pay ATTORNEY and the latter agrees to accept as
his/her fee, the following:
1. [P______] non-refundable minimum retainer fee, payable within
______days from the date of this Contact.
2. The balance of Attorney’s fees shall be fixed at the rate of
[P_______] per hour.
3. Any fee awarded the Attorney by the Court against the opposing
party and paid by the opposing party shall be credited against the total free
due (or shall belong to the ATTORNEY, if agreed upon).

ATTORNEY reserves the right to withdraw as counsel for CLIENT, should

CLIENT fail to pay the amount as set forth above or if ATTORNEY, upon
further investigation of CLIENT’s case is inadvisable.
The CLIENT and ATTORNEY each accept a copy of this Contract and
acknowledge that this is the entire agreement between CLIENT and
ATTORNEY for the purposes described above.
